Syabas, Thank you for all your suggestions/comments for the last post. They are all very valuable to me as I like to listen to you speak your mind. However I do hope that in the future this group will use the same 'semangat' to speak and use it for design purposes. If you are shy to speak in class, use this blog to say something about design problems and hopefully we can all help (please also write your names/initials).
Project 2 has started and I personally hope that all of you will use this opportunity to design exciting new spaces and work collaboratively. Enjoy the studio environment, try your best.
Now, let use this blog to test what we have learn from my previous input: Thinking. Below is the problem again:
Architect tells his Assistant (YOU) to begin thinking about designing an eatery at a certain location in Ipoh Town. You and your team are to propose the design concept based on the site context. He also said that he will be going abroad for two weeks and can’t be contacted unless an emergency occurs. It’s an urgent problem and he wants you to solve it and present the idea by the time he gets back. You are on your own.
Now, let The THINKING begin!
How would you proceed?

Nasihat saya: Jangan tersinggung apabila dimarah semasa memberi pandangan. Kamu akan berdepan dengan bermacam2 manusia apabila keluar kerja nanti, dengar dulu apa yang cuba mereka perkatakan melalui 'marahan' mereka itu. Nilai jawapan mereka (critical thinking) dan cuba jawab balik sebaik mungkin. Jangan kerana mereka, kita tidak berkembang kerana yang itulah yang lebih penting - ilmu dan pengalaman untuk memperbaiki diri.
