The long awaited intellectual epoch is upon us. The time has come for both the Malaysian Polytechnic and Community Colleges to prepare a new mind-set to meet the challenges of the 21th Century. Questions about who we are and where we are heading must now be answered clearly to enable our community to adapt and embrace the Malaysian transformational agenda.
This seminar focuses on Design and Design Education. It specially caters to the Malaysian Polytechnics and Community Colleges design-based educators – Architecture, Design and Visual Communication - who are trusted with the task of developing future workforce for the Malaysian creative industries. Intellectual Horizon is an opportunity for design-based educators to meet and share their insights on certain issues and concerns. Hence, it is hoped that with this endeavor, a new intellectual horizon will emerge to act as guidance for any future undertakings.
