From creative thinking to innovative activity, this blog serves as a platform to collect, enrich and share these ideas and practices with everyone. As I am involve in teaching design at PUO, this site will also cater to my design class issues. The Dawn of the Designers has arrived!... ...and oh yes, this blog is forever under construction!

SEM06 - Project Two
Salam SEM06,
Syabas, Thank you for all your suggestions/comments for the last post. They are all very valuable to me as I like to listen to you speak your mind. However I do hope that in the future this group will use the same 'semangat' to speak and use it for design purposes. If you are shy to speak in class, use this blog to say something about design problems and hopefully we can all help (please also write your names/initials).
Project 2 has started and I personally hope that all of you will use this opportunity to design exciting new spaces and work collaboratively. Enjoy the studio environment, try your best.
Now, let use this blog to test what we have learn from my previous input: Thinking. Below is the problem again:
Architect tells his Assistant (YOU) to begin thinking about designing an eatery at a certain location in Ipoh Town. You and your team are to propose the design concept based on the site context. He also said that he will be going abroad for two weeks and can’t be contacted unless an emergency occurs. It’s an urgent problem and he wants you to solve it and present the idea by the time he gets back. You are on your own.
Now, let The THINKING begin!
How would you proceed?
OK lets start, What is an eatery?...recall the types of questions I discuss with that night. Use them.

Nasihat saya: Jangan tersinggung apabila dimarah semasa memberi pandangan. Kamu akan berdepan dengan bermacam2 manusia apabila keluar kerja nanti, dengar dulu apa yang cuba mereka perkatakan melalui 'marahan' mereka itu. Nilai jawapan mereka (critical thinking) dan cuba jawab balik sebaik mungkin. Jangan kerana mereka, kita tidak berkembang kerana yang itulah yang lebih penting - ilmu dan pengalaman untuk memperbaiki diri.

Welcome Back!

I know it has been three weeks in but its never to late to say Hello. Hope everyone has manage to fit in by now. Best of luck for this semester!

Selamat Datang semua. Maaf kerana blog ini tidak aktif untuk beberapa minggu ini. Ini adalah sebab2 teknikal yang tidak dapat dielakkan. Harap semua sudah bersedia untuk bekerja overtime pada semester ini, terutama sem05 dan 06.
