Everyone is a Designer! Designers@PUO is a blog dedicated to everyone who is interested in design in all its forms. From creative thinking to innovative activity, this blog serves as a platform to collect, enrich and share these ideas and practices with everyone. As I am involve in teaching design at PUO, this site will also cater to my design class issues. The Dawn of the Designers has arrived!... ...and oh yes, this blog is forever under construction!
Academicians, educators of design based education - Architecture, Design and Visual Communication are invited to submit papers in architecture, design, design based education and related areas. Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:
1. Design Education-based Issues
- Learning and Teaching issues of any design-based courses at the Malaysian Polytechnics and Community Colleges.
2. Architectural Education
- Thoughts on any aspect of Architectural Education within the Malaysian Polytechnics and Community Colleges.
3. Designers in Action
- A reflective review of any Architect/Designer and his/her work
4. Design and Progress
- Reflection on any design and how it propels progress
5. A Design Educator’s Journey
- Reflection of a design-educator’s role in today’s educational environment.
6. Book/Article Review
- A critical review of any book/article read.
The seminar accepts any of these forms of academic writing:
- An Essay, A Research Findings, or A Reflective Review/s
This seminar focuses on Design and Design Education. It specially caters to the Malaysian Polytechnics and Community Colleges design-based educators – Architecture, Design and Visual Communication - who are trusted with the task of developing future workforce for the Malaysian creative industries. Intellectual Horizon is an opportunity for design-based educators to meet and share their insights on certain issues and concerns. Hence, it is hoped that with this endeavor, a new intellectual horizon will emerge to act as guidance for any future undertakings.
